Earlier this week Fred Thompson officially announced his bid for the Republican Presidential candidacy on The Tonight Show. This comes as no surprise, he’s been doing unofficial campaign work for the past several months. Since his announcement he has posted a video to YouTube with his announcement, and has garnered the backing of no less than 20 current Senators. That’s quite a start!
