Mr Giuliani Please Stop Mentioning 9/11

Mr. Giuliani, we all recognize that you were in New York City with the attacks occurred. Thank you for your help. Six years have passed, its time to move on with your life and we don’t want to hear about it from you anymore. Yes we will always remember the tragedy, but we’re tired of you gassing on in shameless self aggrandizement. The way you’re using Sept 11 is quite repulsive.

In the past month you have:

  • Answered your phone in the middle of giving a speech to the NRA. And why did you do it? Your wife misses you because of Sept 11. Your explanation is weak and transparent. We might have believed this if you had a tight family, but we all know that’s not true.
  • Hosted a fund raiser with a $9.11 entrance fee. What on earth were you thinking? That is just disgusting. Young Republicans may have come up with it, but you should have been smart enough to recognize the distaste. You should be ashamed.
  • Claimed that you were “…at ground zero as often, if not more, than most of the workers…”. Yes you later retracted the statement, but its shameful that a thought like that would even go through your head. Firefighters have quite a different perspective.

Going on and on about your Sept 11 “achievements” makes you sound like a desperate opportunist, or like you mapped out your actions for political gain. We don’t believe that you’re as great as you think you are, and the truth is, we just don’t want to hear about it from you anymore.

NICE ONE!! You have to remember though that he is just doing what he knows best, to be a politician and use anything at hand for political gain and keep a good image with the voters.

It only works with the dumb ones Gulliani!

The fact that you want 9/11 forgotten indicates that you want another one, probably with more death and more destruction, to happen as soon as possible. If we dare to forget about 9/11 as you seem to want, we will be lulled into a sense of security that we don’t have and we’ll be attacked again and be surprised again and be traumatized again.

If you want to see 9/11 go away, root for our troops to win in Iraq and Ashcanistan and pray that our CIA and Special Forces people get inside any terrorist plot and stop it before it can happen.

And quit whining about 9/11. It happened. It was big. We’re still talking about Pearl Harbor. Does that bother you too?

  3. 3 Anonymous Troll

You’re not good at comprehension, are you?

Try re-reading that first paragraph: “Yes we will always remember the tragedy”

  4. 4 Anonymous Troll

    Wow!

I think you misudnerstood his message!

Yes we want to think about 9/11 and the tragedy. Yes it was and is a very sad day in US history. BUT for a representative to run their campaigne ONLY based on 9/11 and mention in EVERY SPEECH at list 5 times it’s a disgrace to that day and the people and firefighters who died.

I mean a charity with $9.11 entrance fee? that’s a disgrace to the families of people who died there. He is using their death as his campaign to win the election and it’s a sad cause.

You, anonymous troll, are what’s wrong with the USA right now–lack of education. Learn to make an argument that follows any deductive line of reasoning, and I’ll give you a cookie. Until then, please lookup the definitions of symbolism, non-sequitor, and argument ad baculum. You might realize that you’re spouting off stupidity.

    From your post:
“In the past month you have:
Hosted a fund raiser with a $9.11 entrance fee. What on earth were you thinking?”

    From the linked article:
“A supporter of Rudy Giuliani’s is throwing a party that aims to raise $9.11 per person for the Republican’s presidential campaign.
Abraham Sofaer is having a fundraiser at his Palo Alto, Calif., home on Wednesday…”

Did you even bother reading the article you linked to?

Anonymous Troll… 9/11 has become George Bush’s and Giuliani’s Reichstag fire.

Think about that damn terror alert chart brought to us by Homeland Security. They moved it up and down to garner public outcry and congressional sway. Now, where is that damn thing? Rudy is being very irresponsible about his infusing his speeches with the tragedy of 9/11.

And stop hiding behind “support the troops.” That’s bullshit. We all support the troops. The neocons use that as a way to silence opposition to war policy.

Who am I? Just a guy who voted for Bush twice with a mind open enough to realize there are to many lies being unfolded before us. Wake up.

  8. 8 Anonymous Troll

Jesus Christ, you are a fucking moron! No one is saying forget about 9/11. They’re saying Giuliani is a shit bag, for using the tragedy of 9/11 for his own gain in the upcoming election. Just do me one favor don’t pray for anything anymore. God hates you.

  9. 9 Anonymous Troll

its seems that the intent of the fundraiser is to support the presidential campaign so in that sense im sure if its important enough to be brought up giuliani must know about it and in that respect it is distasteful to allow it to happen. And in response to the first post you need to realize that the author is not intent on forgetting 9/11 like you insist he is, he is rather upset that the tragedy is being used for political gain and I’m sure you can agree that that is a horrible thing to do no one will forget 9/11 it has become such a landmark of our times but when someone abuses that issue for personal gain it is extremely upsetting.

  10. 10 Anonymous Troll

“The fact that you want 9/11 forgotten indicates that you want another one, probably with more death and more destruction, to happen as soon as possible.”

This is the kind of non-sequitur horseshit that’s laid the foundation for the current platform of the Republican party. I’m always amazed that the people that eat this crap up are at the same time intelligent enough to keep from accidentally killing themselves during the course of the day. Natural selection is lagging behind the curve a bit, isn’t it?

  11. 11 Anonymous Troll

The party was hosted by a supported but set up by the campaign..

    Information is power…

  12. 12 Anonymous Troll

He in no way said that he wanted it “forgotten”. Did you read his post? Or just thew a fit after his first sentence? He just wants politicians to stop using 9/11 as a campaign.

We will not be lulled into a sense of security because the politicians and main stream media continue to show it down our throats that we are still not safe, that we are in a “never ending war” against an “unseen enemy”. How can we believe we are safe? We are no safer now, then we were before 9/11. All the “foiled” threats have been proven as hoxes or old news. The main stream media just hops on the government propaganda horse and gallop along.

We all want our troops to “win in Iraq” but we are no longer there to stop terrorism.

Think about this… With each exploding IED, carbomb, suicide bomber, that is another terror attack. Who are they attacking? Why are they attacking? If we were no longer in the region pushing our “democracy” onto another nation would the number of terrorist attacks go up or down?

You are right, we still talk about Pearl Harbor, we have not forgotten about Pearl Harbor, but we do not have politicians spoon feeding the American people propaganda about the events before and after December 6th. We honor the men and women that died on that day, and move on. But here we are 6 years later… and yes there still is a big hole in the ground, we are still finding human remains on buildings, in the sewers, on rooftops. Why do you think that is? Because the government can now push its agenda and increase the deficit with a good excuse now.. We must kill them, since they killed us…

    Knowledge is power…

  13. 13 Anonymous Troll

…………….”Think about this… With each exploding IED, carbomb, suicide bomber, that is another terror attack.”…………

This is one of the biggest triumphs of the neocon propaganda effort - when a force, however disorganized, displays a repeated use of hostile tactics against another force that has invaded and is occupying the former force’s sovereign territory, the hostility does NOT constitute terrorism. Call it guerrilla tactics, call it a resistance, but do not call it terrorism, because it simply isn’t. The last time terrorists attacked American targets was in 2001.

  14. 14 Anonymous Troll

well as sad as 9-11 was . i don’t think that the politicians should be using that in any kind of campaign slogan simply for the fact that it is a constant reminder of how our government and our armed forced FAILED TO PROTECT AMERICA

With all the warning that came months before 9-11, to Osama bin Laden actually declaring WAR on the US ppl in 96,to the fact that the air force was running drills on 9-11 for that exact attack. im a firm believer that someone really dropped the ball here . and over 3000 ppl lost their lives because of it .. to use it as some kind of badge of protection only seems to scoff in the face of what it really was .. a failure to protect the US citizens

  15. 15 Anonymous Troll

not only did you spell afghanistan horribly wrong, but you also dont realize that the cia and special forces knew about 911 as well as many other terrorist plots. Because of our arrogance we did not do anything with that knowledge, and if you think that this will change because of our stepping up forces in other regions of the world, then you are completely off base son.

  16. 16 Anonymous Troll

Its you who is symbolic of the problem with the USA. You really are a troll. Nobody talked about forgetting 9/11. Everybody talked about Rudi disgustingly trying to capitalize from it.
On another note: stop watching Fox “News”. It may help you seeing the light.

  17. 17 Anonymous Troll

How dare you sir! We must ALWAYS remember that fateful day on September 11th when we were viciously attacked on our own soil! This, sir, is why we fight for our freedom in Iraq and (hopefully!) Iran, so that these countries will not attack us again! If it were not for Rudy Giulianni and George W. Bush who knows how many more Americans the Iranians and Iraqis might have killed?! People like you hate America and hate our troops!

GOD BLESS THE USA! GOD BLESS GEORGE BUSH! AND NUKE IRAN/Q!

  18. 18 Anonymous Troll

    YOUR the problem with America,

I am perfectly capable of remembering the attacks all by myself, I’ am a big kid now. I don’t need Gugalugie to remind me constantly that, HE was THE MAN, doing the time, fighting the good fight that day! Its exactly what he is doing, he is using 911 to get him press and prestige from the American public. But many forget about the first attacks on the towers, maybe if YOU remembered what had happened on THAT day, you would have shut your pompous mouth. See, back in 93, they realized after everything was said and done that the radios didn’t not work in a manner which would facilitate quick and able communication between other firefighters and dispatch. Fast forward to 2001, the radios STILL did not work in the manner that they were supposed to. The police radios did? but why not the firefighters?? Maybe you should ask your buddy Big G why, the new radios they did receive didn’t work any better then the last. They were never field tested, like they were supposed to be. So when the order was given some 30 to 60 minutes before the towers collapsed to evacuate, the firefighters never got the call. over 100 firefighters died because of his incompetence to get the job done. THATS why I am tired of hearing him boast his achievements on 911, he failed those boys and their families. I would hate to see how he’s going to fail us if he gets elected into office.

No, your bad grammar is killing America

Are you serious? You can’t be sir.

  21. 21 Anonymous Troll

Personally I have read this article and every comment numerous times and the only thing i can thing of is you are all idiots. I completely agree with the writer in this. Its enough of talking about the past, yes this day will be marked by tears for the rest of time. BUT you should NEVER you something with this impact to someones advantage and thats what I believe Giuliani is trying to use.

But soon enough the US empire will colaspe just like every other power country from the past. Notice how the dollars already slipping to the canadian dollar?????????

Friendly quiet super hero from the north

  22. 22 Anonymous Troll

Ok this has degraded into a massive and pathetic flame war, let me clear up some misconceptions some posters seem to have.

Firstly 9/11 was not planned or done by the US government or any government branch, it was a tragic event happing mainly do to the Bush administrations arrogance and an massive underestimate of a religious fanatic, who with luck and massive recourses manged to plan and play out a large scale attack.

Secondly, the neo-conservatives are not planing to take over America or come and consume your small children, there is propaganda you know what go look at the 3rd presidential election, Jefferson was called a Atheist with ties to Great Britain, propaganda and smear is standard in politics and that will never change.

Thirdly, Gulliani is a dickwad who more or less runs his entire campaign on three numbers, hopefully he will be demolished if nominated by the GOP.

Finally nobody wants another terrorist attack on are nation, what happened was a event that was unprecedented yes, but there will always be these horrendous atrocities that will occur, the world is not ending and nobody is controlling this earth or this nation.

    Thank you for your time

  23. 23 Anonymous Troll

The author doesn’t say forget that 9/11 happened,
“yes we will always remember the tragedy, but we’re tired of you gassing on in shameless self aggrandizement.”

Some of us are just tired of people calling up 9/11 over and over again to serve their agendas.

  24. 24 Anonymous Troll

What a dumb ass. Because you know , iraq was thisss close to attacking use with their WMD’s , oh wait what WMD’s.

  25. 25 Anonymous Troll

    Iraq never attacked the US.

  26. 26 Anonymous Troll

    OMG! Ashcanistan???

That’s all I have to say to that.

  27. 27 Anonymous Troll

The pilots that flew the Boeings into the WTC and the Pentagon may, and I stress MAY have been Saudi nationals, if we must believe the official story… But until this very day the US is attacking two countries and planning to attack another (Iran), based on false pretenses…, the pre-emptive strike that resulted in a still raging war has cost the lives of thousands if not tens of thousands of innocent people…for Bush it is not enough, and Bolton is a bonehead first class…

your right, we are all sorry, because Giulianni, and Bush are great people… they have done so many positive things for this country. Oh wait a second… hold on someones telling me something… Oh yeah, thats right… THEY DIDNT

  30. 30 Anonymous Troll

No, I actually just wanted to be called an anonymous troll.

  31. 31 Anonymous Troll

Amazing how ignorant some posters here seem to be about the state of their own country: The USA has re-created the Gulag, abandoned civil rights under the drum beat of 9/11 and Mr. Bush, killed millions (if you include the the collateral damage, e.g. pharmaceutical production or radiation damage from DU ammunition) as “revenge” for it, while before that more or less every dictator (including villains alike Pol Pot - check your national library if you don’t believe it) in the past 50 year was funded by the CIA. With this in mind, reading some of the comments, all I can say is: You guys are so scary!

  32. 32 Anonymous Troll

You’re way too naive. I guess you’d be the type of person who still thinks that IRAQ had something to do with 9/11 huh? Even though President Bush (at the White House Press Conference on August 21, 2006) said the exact opposite (don’t believe me, run a quick search for the video). You’re probably also the type of person who would think “Hey, it says Patriot in the title, so the Patriot Act must be a good thing!” I mean, it totally goes against the principles of America, but that’s okay because you’ve probably never read ANY of it. (But, I don’t need to, Sean Hannity said it was good and only stupid liberals oppose it). The Military Commissions Act of 2006 (probably never heard of it) which effectively suspended the right of to trial for anyone deemed an enemy combatant, (oh and the President gets to decide if you’re an enemy combatant, but that’s okay, because absolute power doesn’t corrupt absolutely right? That quote goes something like that right?) You probably don’t even know that the federal reserve is a privately owned corporation (meaning our government doesn’t print those green pieces of paper that aren’t worth shit in your pocket, we pay a company to make them *WE PAY FOR OUR OWN MONEY!*). I could go on and on about stuff you’ve probably never heard of, but, you will just dismiss it as conspiracy theories because “T.V. said bad to ask questions! T.V. always right! Must listen to T.V.!” Anyway, call me a “far left wing nut” like Fox News says, because anyone who disagrees with the war is, right? (which is funny because 90% of the journalists at fox news have never served in the military and are too cowardly to do so, who would call me a nut job because I oppose this senseless occupation. Oh but they’ll call for other people’s kids to go to Iraq, Afghanistan and Iran *coming soon*.) *oh by the way, yes, i did serve in the Army, i just knew that would be the next question* But anyway, more news about Britney Spears came out today and American Idol will come back on soon so don’t worry, you’ve got stuff to keep your mind off of everything that’s happening. I guess you’re right, our economy isn’t failing, these wars aren’t for oil and control and there aren’t evil people in the world who want the power to control everyone else. Congratulations, you’re the perfect, willfully ignorant person that is essential to keep these endless wars going and slowly take away our freedoms to slip into a fascist state.
