Clinton Suggests Garnishing Wages For Health Plan

Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton has been a proponent of universal healthcare for several years. When she announced her candidacy this was one of the first issues that her campaign addressed. Earlier this week ABC’s George Stephanopoulos asked her about enforcement. He had to press her for an answer, but she finally did admit that there would be enforcement mechanisms, including going after people’s wages. There was a quip about forced enrollment as well.

What a thoroughly, completely rotten idea. Rather disturbing, actually. Since when does universal anything involve forced enrollment and garnished wages? That’s not contributing to society, that’s ramming your plan down their throat. And what of choice? I won’t go much further in my commentary her, other than to say that I agree with Deborah Burger. If you were looking for a sign of who to be afraid of, here it is in flashing neon lights.

I don’t know if Stephanopoulos was cunning enough to press her on this issue to dent her campaign, but Hillary apparently smells trouble. This afternoon, during an unrelated gathering she pulled the trump card out again by crying. I doubt it’ll draw as much press as before, but then again I didn’t think the Jan. 7 incident was worth all of the attention it received.
