While giving a speech to a packed crowd in Iowa, Senator Obama made the statement “Part of the problem here is not just George Bush and the White House”. He went on to say that average Americans must be involved in decisions about issues from health care to education to trade. Obama’s solution is to post all non-emergency bills online for five days before signing them into law, which would allow Americans to have input on the legislation.

Newt Gingrich stated in a Fox News interview that he believes Hillary will win the Democratic party’s presidential nomination and she will select Barack Obama as her running mate. That’s just crazy enough to work. He went on to say that he considers Republicans Romney, Giuliani and Thompson to be formidable opponents. The Republicans will need to come out with a strong answer if that’s the case. Clinton and Obama are the leading Democrats, if they can get on the same page they’ll garner more attention.
